The old fishing port in Cuxhaven was acquired by Plambeck from the state of Lower Saxony in 2016 and has since been developed and operated by AFH Alter Fischereihafen Cuxhaven GmbH. The commercial port will continue to be available for shrimp fishermen and general shipping.

Around 300 million euros will be invested in the coming years. Restaurants, pubs, bed & breakfasts, a business hotel, offices and other attractions are planned. Sustainability is just as important for the new tourist attractions as the goal of developing attractive offers for the people living in Cuxhaven in the heart of the city.
