As founder and main shareholder of the first listed wind energy project development company Plambeck Neue Energien AG (today PNE WIND AG) developed Plambeck Holding in 2002 the idea of the offshore wind port in Cuxhaven, founded with the Rhenus Midgard AG the WindPort Cuxhaven GmbH and designed a concept, which has been successfully implemented in large parts by many companies based in Cuxhaven.

Besides AMBAU GmbH also Siemens AG settled since 2016 with a production of wind turbines in the offshore basis Cuxhaven. It will create more than 1,000 jobs in addition to the 350 employees at PNE Wind AG.
